Goodyear is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is a suburb of Phoenix and at the 2010 census had a population of 65,275. It was the third-fastest-growing city in Arizona between 1990 and 2000. The 2019 population estimate was 86,840. In May 1944, the residents and property owners chose the name "Goodyear." The Goodyear Post Office was opened on Nov. 22, 1944, and the town of Goodyear was incorporated on Nov. 19, 1946.
