California State University, Dominguez Hills is a public university in Carson, California. It was founded in 1960 and is part of the California State University system. In fall 2020 the university had a total enrollment of 17,763 students comprising 15,873 undergraduates and 1,890 post baccalaureates. CSUDH was founded in 1960; however, the campus sits on land that has a long and rich history. The university's 346 acres were once a section of the first private land grant in Southern California—the Rancho San Pedro.
