Starts and shuts down injection molding machines. Troubleshoots injection molding machines. Assembles injection molds from start to finish for production runs. Removes and installs plastic injection molds of varying sizes and complexities in molding machines according to work order specifications. Sets up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal. Ensures proper materials are used at each machine by managing raw molding materials ensuring traceability and preventing contamination. Provides molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met. Maintains set-up records on tools, preventative maintenance and run profiles. Troubleshoots and makes repairs to Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems to a minimum of 120 v unassisted and up to 480 v assisted. Performs minor repairs to plumbing systems. Performs Preventive Maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/ Abilities:Basic understanding of Electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems using LOTO procedures. Ability to read and comprehend Technical Manuals for various types of manufacturing equipment. Ability to use CMMS, e-Mail, and various spreadsheet applications. Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in working with machinery. Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with determining necessary tool accuracy to be appropriate with given tolerances. Strong understanding of and ability to apply measurement methods to inspection and/or testing. Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED required. Two (2) to five (5) years Manufacturing experience in a semi-skilled position preferred. Completion of Company provided Basic Technical Training Course within 18 months. Experience working in fast pace, high change environment.
