Salary range: The salary range for this position is $407,629-$523,327. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a highly qualified accredited arthroplasty surgeon to provide patient care in the UC Davis Health supporting the Sacramento region. The position will serve in the Clinical X series at the Assistant Professor rank. The UC Davis Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is the premier surgical service provider in the greater Sacramento region and beyond and is based on the UC Davis Health campus in Sacramento, California. Sacramento is an easily accessible, family-oriented city in close proximity to the San Francisco Bay area, Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the California coast, and Napa Valley. REQUIREMENTS This position will provide inpatient and outpatient care at UC Davis Health. This position may include the teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as participate in departmental meetings, conferences, hospital and departmental committees. The clinical X series includes expectations in research productivity, so a demonstrated publication and/or presentation record is a requirement. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Must possess an M. D. (or equivalent degree) Must have completed an approved Orthopaedic Surgery residency program Must have experience in and the ability to teach medical students, residents, and fellows Must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and adhere to University policy and procedures Candidates in the Clinical X series must demonstrate the ability and experience to conduct scholarly/clinical/translational research Must provide evidence of experience obtaining extramural funding and/or administering clinical trials. Additional qualifications (required at time of start) Must be eligible for licensure in the State of California and/or have an active California medical license prior to appointment start date Must be board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship-trained in Arthroplasty Surgery Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required, qualifications for the position) Demonstrated teaching experience in an academic clinical setting is preferred Application Requirements Document requirements Curriculum Vitae - Your most recently updated C.
