The Virginia Beach Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for a full-time Business Office Assistant. The Business Office Assistant's role is to support the Business Office in maintaining the business transactions of the College including revenue and expense monitoring. The Business Office Assistant will assist in ensuring the integrity of the College's accounts receivable while minimizing bad debt. Essential Position Responsibilities and Functions: Ensure high customer service standards are maintained when dealing with students and associates. Service students by taking and processing payments, assisting students in understanding their accounts, processing third-party student billing and payments, and following up on students' promissory notes. Assist students with bookstore orders and returns. Post college fees (graduation, etc.) and verify book charges are properly applied to student accounts. Out-process student withdrawals, send student accounts to pre-collections and convert to collections as needed. Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts as assigned. Generate month-end reports as needed. Review the Accounts Receivable Aging report weekly with the Business Office Director. Create and distribute student communications. Participate in College initiated file reviews. Complete and file business office documents into student files. Other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: Associate degree in Business or related field. Work experience preferred. Excellent organizational, analytical and computer skills (MS Excel, Word). Ability to communicate effectively with others and work well in a team environment. Ability to interact and work professionally with faculty, staff, and students. Must be able to work independently and possess a drive for excellence. A background check is required.
