Neuro ICU is an 18- bed Critical Care Unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. Neuro ICU serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. The unit provides comprehensive care to neuro patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. The unit cares for patients with:Ischemic stroke including those patients undergoing thrombectomy. Hemorrhagic stroke including intracranial hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage and patients s/p coil embolization. Cerebral edema and increased intracranial pressure. Abnormal electrical activity of the brain for patients with intractable seizure. Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS - Patients with hemodynamic instability and/or airway and respiratory compromise. Minimum Job Qualifications. Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia. Educational Requirements: Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required. Minimum Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire. Other:Preferred Job Qualifications.
