The QA/ QC Field Inspector serves as the owner’s on-site representative, responsible for verifying that construction activities comply with contract documents, technical specifications, and established quality standards. This role is proactive and process-driven, emphasizing continual oversight of the contractor’s Quality Control (QC) program to ensure that all work aligns with design intent and meets required performance criteria. The QA/ QC Field Inspector is accountable for all facets of quality assurance within assigned construction projects, including the development and implementation of project-specific QA/ QC plans, routine and milestone inspections, and documentation of conformance and non-conformance. The position ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and Yale’s internal standards. Success in this role requires close coordination with project managers, contractors, design professionals, and other stakeholders to maintain consistent quality throughout the project lifecycle. Bachelor's degree required, plus six or more years of related experience in the professional practice of Construction Management. Preferred Education and Experience?Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of eight years of experience in construction management or a related field, with specific experience in QA/ QC roles.
