Include:Develop and execute category strategies for inbound, outbound, and warehousing logistics. Lead RFQs/ RFPs, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management. Drive cost optimization, service reliability, and risk mitigation across logistics providers. Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Monitor market trends and ensure compliance with company policies. Lead the development and execution of category strategies that are aligned with the organization"s objectives, seeking to maximize Honda\u 2019 s spend under contract and improve Honda\u 2019 s cost position for indirect goods and services. Lead the category to establish and achieve SEQCDM performance targets, monitor progress and implement countermeasures when necessary. Responsible for category\u 2019 s legal and commercial supplier contracts executed to protect Honda and business users. Responsible to implement category strategies through effective communication, negotiation, collaboration, and internal business analysis across Honda north America sites (mfg., sales, R&D). Accountable to place Honda and end users first by understanding the 3 a\u 2019 s and customer (upstream, downstream, and end-user) viewpoint in all category strategies and supplier contracts. Responsible for supplier performance that meets contractual requirements and end user expectations.\u 00 A 0 Elevate and problem solve using an established supplier working and executive network\u 00 A 0\u 00 A 0\u 00 A 0 Lead development of network consisting of internal Honda relationships and external supplier relationships to achieve category strategies Accountable for category team\u 2019 s performance management; resource and succession planning - building associate talent through regular mentoring, performance feedback and development planning. Who we are seeking: Required Work Experience:10-12 years\u 2019 experience based on education and work history (preferred experience either in a procurement role, or in a field with transferable knowledge and skills). Required Education:Bachelor\u 2019 s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field. Desired skills:Microsoft office including word, excel, PowerPoint. SAP, ARIBA ERP system(s)Excellent communication skills. Presentation skills to executive leadership / Division Management. Experience leading teams and strong people leader skills. Business & financial acumen, subject matter expert leading contract negotiations for best outcome. Additional Position Factors:Professional office environment.
