The Manager of Administrative Services oversees day-to-day operations of hospitality guest services and administrative support functions across Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West. This role ensures seamless patient, visitor, and staff experiences while supporting departmental goals, operational efficiency, and strategic initiatives set by the Director. The Manager provides leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities. Operational Leadership & Team Management - Manages and mentors hospitality and administrative staff including receptionists, guest service associates, and support personnel. - Oversees daily operational workflows, staffing, and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage, efficiency, and patient/visitor satisfaction. - Implements policies, procedures, and standards established by the Director to ensure operational consistency and compliance. - Participates in onboarding, performance management, and professional development of team members. - Serves as the payroll timekeeper. Hospitality & Guest Services - Supervises private patient hospitality operations, including bed management, concierge services, amenities, transportation, food delivery, and payment collection. - Ensures that 14 B/11 A Hospitality beds, Postpartum Upgrade suites, and other hospitality assets are maintained in a state of readiness, safety, and service excellence. - Collaborates with Environmental Services, Engineering, and Food Services to maintain furnishings, equipment, and facility condition. - Monitors patient experience metrics, including Press Ganey scores, and drives service improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction. Administrative & Event Services - Manages conference room utilization and scheduling at both campuses to support hospital, clinical, and departmental initiatives. - Coordinates in-house catering and other non-clinical event services, ensuring professional execution and alignment with hospital priorities. - Supports high-level hospital events and departmental initiatives by facilitating operational planning and execution - Serves as a site liaison to the centralized decedent affairs team. Enrolls new providers into e. Vital System. Financial & Business Operations - Supports the Director in managing labor and OTPS expenditures. - Oversees revenue tracking for hospitality services, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. - Implements cost-effective solutions and operational efficiencies while maintaining service quality. Compliance, Policy, & Quality Assurance - Ensures staff adherence to institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. - Participates in quality improvement and regulatory readiness activities, including Joint Commission preparation. - Evaluates workflows and operational processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Interdepartmental Collaboration & Reporting - Acts as liaison between hospitality services, clinical departments, and administrative units to ensure coordinated operations. - Prepares operational updates for the Director and executive leadership. - Participates in departmental and hospital committees as assigned. Qualifications. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospital hospitality, administrative services, or patient experience operations. - Knowledge of hospital operations, strategic planning, workforce management, and financial stewardship. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams. - Familiarity with patient experience measurement tools (e.g., Press Ganey) and regulatory standards preferred. Compensation Statement The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65,193.00 - $97,790.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
