The Manager of Public Relations will support strategic communications and publicity efforts across a portfolio of managed venues, including arenas, stadiums, theaters, and convention centers. This role focuses on event publicity, media relations, and creative storytelling to elevate venue brands, increase event attendance, and strengthen community engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive PR professional with experience in sports and entertainment, capable of developing and executing campaigns that drive excitement and enhance reputation in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the development and execution of public relations strategies that promote venue programming, increase event attendance, and enhance public perception. Serve as a day-to-day PR partner for venue management teams, offering guidance on media relations, messaging, issues management, and community engagement. Manage PR campaigns for events, concerts, and community initiatives in collaboration with marketing and social media teams. Draft press releases, media materials, talking points, leadership messaging, and other communications content. Conduct media outreach, maintain relationships with key reporters, and facilitate interview opportunities. Monitor media coverage and assist in analyzing results to produce reports on PR performance and impact. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field . years of communications experience, with a focus on media relations. Experience in sports, live entertainment, or venue-based events preferred. In-house and Agency experience is a plus. SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Strong strategic and creative thinking skills, with experience supporting complex organizations or multiple stakeholders. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and maintaining media relationships. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Collaborative team player with a solutions-oriented mindset. Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work environment. Familiarity with PR measurement tools, media monitoring platforms, and social media. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
