The St. Louis County Office of the Assessor is seeking two Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analysts to join their team. These positions will perform skilled digital mapping, provide data analysis for internal and external clients, develop standards and procedures and create and maintain geodatabases. The typical starting salary range will be $26.70 hourly depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience as well as budgetary considerations. Examples of Duties
Essential Function Examples. Create, design, maintain and update geodatabases. Interpret, analyze and utilize complex data for map creation and create and apply quality assurance / quality control standards and procedures to ensure data accuracy. Develop project requirements based on client's needs and produce printed GIS maps and web-based GIS applications to portray spatial variations and the interrelationships of geographical data. Provide technical assistance for the County Enterprise GIS and analyze, troubleshoot and resolve GIS application problems for County GIS users. Marginal Function Examples. Attend meetings, conferences, workshops. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Urban Planning or related area. One year of related experience.
