Obtains moderately complex financial information regarding patients from various sources to obtain paymentplan agreements and Medicare coverage. Interviews customers for data retrieval. Abstracts medical information necessary from the mother's and baby's chart for completion of the birthcertificate form. Retains and understands federal, state, and county regulations as it pertains to birth registry. Completes Paternity Acknowledgements submitted to the state. Locates and orders medical charts when necessary. Reports Immunizations via EBC program. Must Attend appropriate courses for Birth Registrar. Job Requirements. Required. High School Graduate/ GED Six months of customer serviceexperience in finance, physician office or clinic, insurance, banking, etc. Basic Life Support - CPR - Preferred. High School GED - One year relevant experience in hospital environment, upon hire. Where You'll Work.
