Join our team as we build and optimize capacity efficiency that secure our long-term capital investment return and reduce unit costs. In this strategic role, you will lead financial planning for Gen. AI capacity. Key job responsibilities- Lead end-to-end capital expenditure planning for Gen. AI capacity, developing strategic financial roadmaps that balance customer experience with capital efficiency and unit cost reduction.- Build and manage a high-performing team that drives financial excellence in capacity management, creating mechanisms to identify barriers and developing scalable solutions for process improvement.- Partner with product team to negotiate long term contracts, leveraging financial analysis to secure advantageous terms while maintaining quality standards.- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for return of capitals, implementing data-driven mechanisms to continuously improve financial outcomes and reduce the cost to construct.- Drive strategic financial initiatives that support AWS's Gen. AI capacity investment, balancing immediate operational needs against long-term business objectives while maintaining rigorous financial controls. Basic Qualifications- 12 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)- 5 years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience. Preferred Qualifications- 8 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- 8 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 8 years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience- 5 years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience- MBA, or CPA- 5 years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience- 10 years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience- 8 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience- 7 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- 6 years of directly managing and leading a team of 10 members experience.
