Performs deep cleaning of grills, vents, stoves, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment. Dusts, sweeps, and mops kitchen floors and storage areas regularly. Cleans kitchen walls, mats, workstations, prep surfaces, and back-of-house hallways. Washes and sanitizes trash cans and disposes of trash according to sanitation protocols. Uses approved cleaning agents, degreasers, and sanitation products safely and correctly. Operates pressure washers and other cleaning machinery in a safe and effective manner. Maintains cleanliness of the back loading dock and cardboard recycling area. Keeps all kitchen and stewarding areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. Communicates any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management promptly. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to stand and walk for the entirety of an 8-hour shift. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy cleaning equipment and materials. Familiarity with basic sanitation practices and the use of industrial cleaning tools. Ability to understand and follow safety protocols, cleaning instructions, and task assignments. High level of responsibility, attention to detail, and initiative in maintaining cleanliness. Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional training in sanitation, safety, or hospitality operations is a plus. Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained upon hire. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in sanitation, janitorial, or stewarding roles, preferably in a commercial kitchen or food service environment. Familiarity with proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures. Ability to follow cleaning schedules, safety protocols, and health department standards. Experience cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, walls, and maintaining overall cleanliness in back-of-house areas. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently. Prior experience in a casino, resort, or high-volume food and beverage operation is preferred. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.
