The position helps ensure correct identification of failure mechanisms, timely technical assessment of repair plans and alternatives, quality of workmanship, development of turnaround scope, and overall availability and reliability of mechanical equipment. What You’ll Do Contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of mechanical solutions to support safe and reliable operations. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex equipment and systems, ensuring timely and effective repairs. Participate on small projects and help develop detailed engineering drawings, test procedures, and specifications to meet performance standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and recommend technical enhancements. Conduct root cause analyses, support risk-based inspections, and document best practices to address reliability issues. Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory and company standards, prioritizing safety and quality. What You’ll Bring – Required Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) Driver’s license Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodations, to comply with the following: Travel up to 5% Company vehicle 25% Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional duties Transport articles up to 50 pounds Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven) Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline 1 or more years of engineering experience in the energy industry What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred 3 or more years of experience working as a Mechanical or Maintenance Engineer at a refinery Working knowledge of: SAP Equity Engineering Plant Manager PCMS API-RBI Software API 579 API 571 ASME B 31.3 Proficiency with MS Outlook Suite (Outlook Email, Word, and Excel programs) Compensation Range This position has a base salary range of $111,600 – $136,400.
