Now Interviewing for Full Time Security Officers! Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. Metro. Link security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved. Position Type: Full Time. Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20 Pounds. Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy. Pay Rate: $20.13 / Hour. Job Schedule:Day. Time. Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM - Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM - Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM - Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM - Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do:Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a government location. Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to post instructions. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe activity within assigned areas, documenting conditions and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriateSupport emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations, restricted access procedures, and other security-related duties based on location needs. Minimum Requirements:Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
