The position will work under the supervision of an experienced Project Manager and network with other students participating in the Intern program. The position will provide an introduction to company practices, procedures, and safety culture. What you'll do Utilize AutoCAD or other drafting software to produce and update drawings Collaborate with senior drafters and engineers to create detailed technical drawings and schematics Following instructions from supervisors and implementing tasks Other duties assigned as needed Critical skills for the position include: Well organized self-starter who can operate independently and in a team environment Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to change / opportunities Effective communication skills and basic computer skills High service level and strong work ethic Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in and outside of the workplace (may be required to sign a non-disclosure or confidentiality agreement based on work assignment) What You’ll Bring – Required Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Possess a valid driver's license Be 18 years of age or older High school diploma or GED Currently pursuing a degree in drafting, engineering or related field Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following: Be available for a minimum of eight continuous weeks Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Lift and transport articles up to 50 pounds What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred Currently pursuing a degree in drafting, engineering or related field from Amarillo College Working knowledge of CAD software Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Compensation This position has a base hourly pay of $15.00 to $21.00. The Borger Refinery is located in Borger, Texas, in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 50 miles north of Amarillo, Texas. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes primarily medium sour crude oil produced locally, and heavy sour crude oil produced in Canada, all of which are delivered by pipeline. Borger produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petroleum coke, NG - Ls and solvents. Refined products are distributed to customers via pipelines from the refinery to West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and the Midcontinent region.
