Duties & Responsibilities for a Maintenance Tech II - Preventive Maintenance: Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Troubleshooting: Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, utilizing precision measuring and testing instruments, and following technical diagrams or manufacturer specifications. Repair: Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools; examines form and texture of parts to identify wear. Precision Adjustments: Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts using rules, calipers, and micrometers; adjusts functional parts and control instruments using levels and plumb bobs. Downtime Management: Minimizes downtime by informing production staff of routine maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Inventory Control: Maintains equipment and supplies inventory by anticipating needs, placing/expediting orders, and verifying receipts. Documentation: Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing trends; maintains continuity among work teams by documenting actions and irregularities. Safety: Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all corporate procedures, rules, and safety regulations. Education and Experience for a Maintenance Tech. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance role within a warehouse or industrial manufacturing environment. Apply NOW!
