Responsibilities Job Summary: A Food Service Representative is responsible for providing superior customer service and for preparing, packaging, and merchandising fresh product on a daily basis while maintaining all department and food safety / sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: - Provides superior customer service - Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product - Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person - Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections - Slices, packages, labels, and rotates products - Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales - Scan in items on telxon for production - Assists in technical areas as needed - Merchandises product effectively - Cleans and sanitizes display cases - Properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment - Makes regular announcements to inform customers of products - Complies with Company Food Safety and Sanitation standards - Uses the effectively track production and shrink through department processes The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
