Rosemount Landfill is looking for a safety-oriented Landfill Deck Commander / Landfill Laborer to join our growing team in Rosemount, MN. Deck Commander Duties:Communicates with truck scales on incoming waste streams. Directs customers to dumping locations within the landfill. Communicates with equipment operators on locations of material needed. Monitors safety with our customers and employees. Communicates safety requirements to drivers. Must have good attention to detail and good record-keeping practices. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to think on feet. Must be able to work in the field in dusty conditions and potentially inclement weather, and be able to traverse a variety of terrains found on the landfill. Landfill Laborer Duties:Keeping the landfill clean and presentable. Picking litter / General site clean up. Installing litter fences, site signage. Performing yard work including cutting weeds / mowing grass. Running for parts with site vehicle. Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Requirements:At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position. The ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Experience operating equipment is a plus. Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift. Mechanical ability is a plus.
