RR Donnelley is looking for two Maintenance Mechanics to join the Monroe, WI location! Filling one position on 2nd shift and one position on 3rd shift. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing highly diversified duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of specialized forms and labels machinery. This role is critical to ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all equipment and machinery to meet demanding production schedules. Qualifications. Ensure the safe and efficient operation of forms and labels production machinery including but not limited to presses, die-cutters, coaters, rewinders, slitters, balers, wrappers, and sheeters. Collaborate with the maintenance team and Operations Manager to create and implement a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for the. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all production machinery and site equipment. Execute emergency and unscheduled repairs of complex mechanical, electrical (up to 480 V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Diagnose and repair intricate problems related to web handling systems, tension control, servo drives, and registration systems common in forms and labels operations. Read and interpret detailed equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints to perform precise maintenance service and overhauls on production assets. Provide skilled mechanical support, including basic welding, fabrication, and precision alignment of rollers, gears, and other critical press components. Provide electrical/electronic support, including troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), VF - Ds (Variable Frequency Drives), sensors, and process control instrumentation. Enter all work orders, labor hours, and parts usage into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) accurately and promptly. Comply with all safety regulations, including Lockout/ Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain clean and orderly work areas in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate closely with operators and production supervisors to identify recurring issues, improve machine reliability, and minimize downtime. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/ Experience. High school diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably within a printing, packaging, web converting, or similar high-speed manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing three-phase electrical systems (up to 480 V), mechanical drive systems, and complex pneumatic/hydraulic controls. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals specific to industrial printing machinery. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all OSHA regulations. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces. Preferred Skills. Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Experience providing maintenance support on machinery manufactured by Jennerjahn, Rotoflex, Toppan Moore, EVTEC, VITS, Sanford. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and minor program modifications (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens). Working knowledge of process control systems, vision systems, and quality inspection equipment used in label and forms production.
