The Night Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating production operations for the entire plant or portion of the plant in a team-based environment. The incumbent is responsible for the effective administration of policies and procedures and utilization of all resources to optimize operational efficiency, material utilization, and labor flexibility. Responsibilities. Supervise the operations of Plant, Value Stream, or assigned area and provides direction to ensure that current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, etc.) Supports the facility management in achieving high colleague morale. Provides direct leadership and consistently administers Energizer policies and work rules to ensure conformity. Maintains working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity and provides direction and guidance to achieve deliverables. Develops and coordinates production/maintenance schedules and human resource planning. Optimizes flexibility of human resources, processes and equipment. Analyzes costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances. Develops necessary controls to monitor these areas. Promotes problem solving to address variances. Promotes safety, health and environmental initiatives as well as 5 S and Housekeeping within assigned area. Accountability for Safety, Health, and Environmental. Determines training needs and administers colleague training for assigned area. Promotes high level performance of hourly employees including performance appraisals. Demonstrates a pro-active and creative approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Leads and/or facilitates improvement efforts/special projects related to safety, quality, cost, etc. Promotes and champions team initiatives, colleague ownership and empowerment. What we are looking for 2 to 4 year college degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or other appropriate fields, or 4-5 years of equivalent experience for entry level position. Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, organizational and motivational abilities. Previous production or maintenance experience and/or supervisory background. Knowledge and/or experience in continuous improvement. Practical technical understanding and good facilitation skills. Working Relationships. Direct supervisory accountability for hourly colleagues in assigned area. Reports directly to Value Stream Manager or other member of Management. Collaborates with Maintenance, Scheduling/ Logistics, Human Resources, Support Staff and members of Management in the location and at other applicable locations to ensure consistency in achieving goals as well as sharing best practices for continuous improvement
