Essential Functions/ Job Competencies/ Physical Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. Develops schedules for leagues and playoffs, ensures fields are ready for play, and records and posts results. Visits fields daily to oversee the maintenance and preparation of sports facilities to ensure they meet safety standards. Communicates with managers, officials and players through email or phone regularly regarding various issues or playing schedule. Addresses captains' concerns throughout the season, including issues related to spirit of the game, field conditions, league organization and team management. Performs related work as required. WORK ENVIRONMENT/ CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Physical Effort Requirements Position will have the following exposures. Office or similar indoor environment, relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience. High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate; or the ability to obtain a G.E.D. within twelve (12) months from the date of hire. Applicants who do not possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. at the time of hire must obtain a G.E.D. from a state-recognized or accredited program within the specified timeframe. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon meeting his requirement within twelve (12) months of hire. At least three (3) years experience in sports management or administration.
Valid Licenses and Certifications
Required Licenses or Certifications. Valid Texas Identification card or Government Issued card is required at the time of job offer and hire. Must have reliable form of transportation to and from work site and is expected to arrive at work site on a timely basis.
