The School of Education at the University of New England invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor for AY 2026-2027. The successful candidate will join an energetic, dedicated, and innovative school and will teach a variety of education courses in our undergraduate pre-service teacher programs. Responsibilities The school seeks candidates to teach a broad range of education courses to undergraduate pre-service teachers. These students will be enrolled in one of our four certification programs (Elementary, Middle/ Secondary, Art Education and Special Education) and our new Community in Education major. Courses may include curriculum and assessment, a methods course, introduction to education, overseeing practicum courses and supervision of student teachers. The successful candidate will also be invited to participate in academic advising, recruiting, course and program assessment and service to the school, college, and university. Qualifications A master’s degree in Education is required. We also are seeking a candidate who has been a successful educator for 5 years in K-12 schools.
