This job contributes to the overall mission and goals of HDMA by utilizing a regional viewpoint to ensure efficient and effective design and utilization of logistics requirements for delivery of supplier parts at the right time and right condition to support smooth production operations across North American manufacturing facilities in order ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Accountabilities. Provide leadership and direction for design, planning, and utilization of transportation routing characteristics through mileage efficiency, inbound/outbound routing flow, cost reduction and efficiency gain improvements across all transportation modes (i.e. truckload direct routes, network collection routes, etc.). Lead continuous improvement activities through collaboration with 3 PL providers, carriers, suppliers, and key internal customers to understand root cause and establish effective countermeasures for complex and broad scope projects and themes. Develop and enhance metrics to monitor and lead situation appraisal and analysis of carrier performance to include within route bid process and sourcing recommendations to support overall carrier strategy.\u 00 A 0 Conduct and lead meetings with carriers to develop and implement appropriate improvement plans. Develop and maintain detailed project plans using recognized project management tools to track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Ensure project activities are completed on schedule to meet cost improvement and delivery efficiency targets.\u 00 A 0 Facilitate cross functional project meetings to ensure alignment, resolve conflicts, and maintain stakeholder engagement. Ensure gap identification, root cause analysis summary, and countermeasure implementation schedule to ensure appropriate communication and effectiveness. Provide structured reporting and status progression to department leadership. Escalate unresolved gaps promptly to leadership and stakeholders to maintain transparency and ensure timely resolution. Collaborate with internal teams & external partners (3 PLs, suppliers, carriers) to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve operational challenges. Ensure alignment and execution of tasks to meet business plan targets. Monitor daily and weekly cube pulse reports to ensure timely identification and resolution of issues and appropriate escalation as needed. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills. Minimum Educational Qualifications:Bachelor\u 2019 s Degree in Business, or Supply Chain or equivalent work experience. Minimum Experience:2 yrs. equivalent experience. Other Job-Specific Skills:Extensive knowledge of Honda Supply Chain flow and systems. Extensive knowledge of PPT and Excel for reporting and analysis. Customer Service skillset to deal with Honda Internal and external customers and problem resolution. Job Dimensions. No. of Direct Reports: 0 No. of Indirect Reports: Ceva Engineers/ Planners. Financial Dimensions: Influence within $500 M Transportation budget. Decisions Expected. Determine best solution for improved cube efficiency opportunities. Determine options to consider decide on proposed solution for optimal transportation cost impact for new model and/or project change points.
