The Extension Home and Community Department focuses on areas such as nutrition, financial well-being, mental health, and family relationships. As part of USU's land-grant mission, this internship offers hands-on experience assisting with research-based education and outreach designed to improve quality of life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and connect with community members in meaningful ways. Interns have opportunities to work both independently and as part of a team, with some flexibility in scheduling depending on program needs. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, public health, or family and consumer sciences careers. Responsibilities 1. Program & Event Support. Support youth physical activity programs. Assist with data collection for policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) projects. Assist in developing mental health and social connectedness activities for seniors 2. Education & Content Development. Develop wellness-focused social media content. Develop a presentation on topic of interest and deliver to community 3. Community Outreach & Partnerships. Engage in Extension outreach and community engagement Qualifications Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree. Have an interest in the Extension program. Dependable. Have strong communication and social media skills. Be self-motivated
