Instruction & Student Achievement. Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned with AMS curriculum frameworks for English Language Arts and Social Studies. Build strong foundational literacy skills including reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary development, and critical thinking. Guide students through grade-level texts and writing tasks to prepare them for upper elementary rigor. Introduce students to key historical concepts, civic responsibility, and cultural understanding through engaging Social Studies instruction. Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level. Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instructional planning and interventions. Classroom Culture & Student Support. Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and high-expectations classroom environment. Implement PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to support student behavior and engagement. Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development. Encourage respectful discussion, collaboration, and curiosity during lessons. Collaboration & Professional Growth. Participate in weekly professional development and professional learning communities. Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to continuously improve instructional practices. Contribute to school-wide initiatives focused on literacy development and student achievement. Engage in ongoing reflection and use data to improve instructional effectiveness. Family Engagement. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and academic expectations. Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong home-school partnerships. Provide families with strategies and resources to support reading and writing development at home. Minimum Qualifications. Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:Valid teaching certification in a relevant subject area, OR - Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (e.g., Education, English, Literature, History, Social Studies, Elementary Education, or similar field), OR - Minimum of three (3) years of K–8 teaching experience. Additionally, candidates must:Demonstrate strong classroom management skills. Show commitment to serving Title I and multilingual learner communities. Possess strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data-driven instruction. Demonstrate collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment. Pass required background checks and obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Compensation & Benefits.
