$18.00 hourly rate. Inspects, grades and sorts raw vegetables for preparing, processing, and freezing. Examines, classifies and separates produce on conveyor belt according to grade, color, and size of product. Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign material such as metal, glass, wood, plastic, stems, leaves, insects, etc. Must notify superintendent, supervisor or QC Inspector immediately upon finding glass, rocks or animals (i.e. bird, rodent, amphibian, etc.)May trim product with a knife or paring tool. Maintains work area clean. Will don personal protective equipment (PPE) before commencing work. Follows all safety guidelines set forth by the Company. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to work a 10-hour shift. Ability to work a 6-day week; including holidays. Ability to work a rotating shift if necessary. Must have reliable transportation.
