The Winery Chef leads all culinary experiences at the winery, creating thoughtful, seasonal food programs that elevate wine tastings, events, and private experiences. This role blends culinary creativity with operational excellence, ensuring that every menu reflects the winery’s brand, enhances the wine story, and delivers a consistently exceptional guest experience. The Winery Chef oversees all kitchen operations, maintains high standards of food quality and safety, and partners closely with hospitality, events, and winemaking teams to bring memorable experiences to life. Responsibilities: Create seasonal, wine-focused menus for tastings, events, and private experiences Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring service readiness, consistency, and quality Collaborate with Hospitality and Wine Education teams to align food and wine storytelling Manage food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all health regulations Develop systems for prep, execution, inventory, and cleanup that scale with demand Manage food and labor costs, minimize waste, and maintain cost targets Hire, train, schedule, and develop kitchen staff. Foster a respectful, inclusive kitchen culture and provide clear feedback and coaching Source ingredients thoughtfully, prioritizing local and seasonal partners Partner cross-functionally on events, programming, and new guest experiences About You: You bring 5–7 years of professional culinary experience, including leadership in a commercial kitchen You have a strong foundation in food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness You excel at creating seasonal menus that pair intentionally with wine You balance creativity with structure, organization, and cost awareness You are a confident, calm leader who thrives in high-volume or high-visibility environments You communicate clearly and collaborate well across teams You are comfortable engaging with guests during events or special experiences You are passionate about hospitality, storytelling, and delivering memorable moments Why you'll love it here: Our culture is built on bringing our whole selves, being courageous and delivering together – it’s our DNA and the heart of who we are at TWE. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 per year and other benefits.
