The Single Role Paramedic functions as lead medic on an ambulance and provides field training oversight to other Paramedics or EMT's. This position is responsible for performing skilled ALS medical care, including the pre-hospital care, assessment, preparation and transportation of sick and/or injured patients. The Single Role Paramedic (ALS) performs all work consistent with the EMT-Paramedic certification level as specified by established State of Oregon Scope of Practice. For a preview, click here. Earning Potential: $71,955.52 - $96,370.56 annually. Earning potential is based on a regularly scheduled 48 hour average workweek where all hours worked over 40 in a workweek are paid at 1.5 X the regular hourly rate. This position is paid on an hourly basis; the hourly pay range is $26.61 - $35.64. The annual earning potential listed is based on working 48 hours, on average, per workweek over the span of 52 weeks. The position is eligible for overtime opportunities above the regularly scheduled earning potential reported. The City of Eugene and Springfield determine starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience as provided by the applicant in their application materials.
