Plans, coordinates, teaches and evaluates the educational, clinical and patient care activities of pre-hospital emergency medical services personnel transporting patients to Good Samaritan Hospital. The coordinator is also responsible for establishing a partnership with community agencies and regional agencies in the development of education and outreach activities. Collaborates with service lines in the hospital to ensure compliance with pre-hospital transport protocols and quality metrics. Also collaborates with medical direct on timely follow up and educational and outreach opportunities. This position will teach EMS personnel of care protocols for chest pain management/stroke/trauma etc and recertification. Hours will vary as this position is responsible for community activities as well. REQUIRED:Graduate of an accredited EMT/ Paramedic school with the following: NREMT-P certification and Colorado EMT-P certification. Essential Functions. Provides pre-hospital education. Coordinates onsite and virtual training for pre-hospital caregivers. Maintain relationships with all EMS agencies that serve Good Samaritan Hospital. Works with the Good Samaritan Marketing team to ensure consistent community marketing and education around the services we provide. Work in a fast paced, service-oriented environment with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Analyzes and prepares data including trends for EMS volumes including by patient type. Skills. Communication. Education. Data analysis and presentation. Computer Literacy. Collaboration. Minimum Qualifications. Graduate of an accredited EMT/ Paramedic school with the following:- NREMT-P certification-Colorado EMT-P certification. Preferred Qualifications. Emergency management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. State of Colorado Lead Instructor endorsement with greater than 5 years of service.
