Works with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop product requirements based on customer needs. Analyzes systems using a variety of engineering tools including, but not limited to, FEA, analytical formulas, benchmark designs, etc. Run through sizing and optimization exercises for pumps, valves, and flow control devices. Familiar with piping layouts, design, and material selection, including, but not limited to, PVC, Stainless Steel, Copper, HDPE, etc. Uses DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve the quality and reliability of designs. Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs)Assures that full and accurate documentation is produced for the designs that are moving into commercialization. Works with operations to design solutions that are integrated into the current manufacturing capabilities. Develops advanced designs in conjunction with operations to produce high quality designs that are value based. Works with sales and service to improve current designs and incorporates future needs into the existing platform. Works as an example and mentor to more junior mechanical engineers. Position Qualifications:Requirements:BSME from an accredited university, or applicable engineering work experience .-5 years of engineering work experience, HVAC preferred. CFD, computational fluid dynamics experience preferred. Self-starter and must be able to work cross-functionally. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred:P. E certification a plus. MSME is a plus. Solid. Works, Draft. Sight, AutoCAD, Revit skills.
