Within the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership (OSIL)Provide programming and resources for commuter student engagement and student success. Provide programming and resources for student clubs and organizations. Professional Development. Ongoing personal and professional work that enhances staff member’s capacity for supporting historically underrepresented student populations and engaging all students related to cultural understanding and engagement at a predominantly white institution. Ongoing professional engagement with the field of Student Affairs. Participate in annual and ongoing departmental professional staff trainings. What You Bring. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field preferred 1–2 years of experience working directly with college students (graduate assistantships considered)Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, and facilitate student learning in both formal and informal settings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage and support students with a wide range of experiences and perspectives. Sound judgment and ability to manage complex student situations with professionalism. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Compensation & Position Details. Salary Range: $43,000 – $43,940 annually (DOE)Status: Full-time, live-in position. Appointment: 10 months, mid-August to mid-June. Department: Residence Life & Office of Student Involvement and Leadership. Benefits: SPU pays employee premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance; provides HSA/ HRA contributions; contributes 7% to a retirement account with immediate vesting (as eligible); and offers a tuition discount program for employees and qualified dependents.
