This is not a Student Employment Position. This is a student volunteer experience. Volunteer experience participants receive monthly stipend payments. The LOG Yearbook Photography Editor works collaboratively with the LOG Yearbook Editor-in-Chief and other LOG Yearbook Editors to execute the 172-page LOG Yearbook. The editor oversees three Staff Photographers and has creative insights into how to best capture the year through photography and visual design. The Photography Editor also oversees photography content for the entire yearbook, including senior photos, club photos, and more. Core Duties Responsible for all story ideas and photographs for the yearbook, in consultation with the Editor. Collaborate with LOG Copy Editor and LOG Design Editor to execute all yearbook spreads Supervise three Staff Photographers, including delegating and assigning deadlines Supplies correctly spelled names and year in school of each subject and a writes caption of the action for each photo submitted. Digitally manages and organizes photos in computer file system. Takes initiative to take photos not specifically assigned. Re-takes photos when asked to do so. Actively solicits photo submissions by campus individuals and groups. Regular contributor to yearbook, covering 11-15 spreads per semester (blurbs, quotes, and captions) Must attend all editorial and staff meetings (2/week). Absences must be cleared in advance though Editor and Advisor. Minimum Qualifications Previous photography experience Access to digital DSLR camera required Creative, self-motivated, organized individual Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop and/or Lightroom Preferred Qualifications Previous yearbook/newspaper experience Previous experience on LOG yearbook staff Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing for the 2025 – 2026 school year
