Under instruction, guidance, and supervision of assigned staff, trains and learns to perform CT procedures and patient care. - Provides patient care during procedures. - - II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - - - Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. - Constant: reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object. - Frequent: standing, walking, twisting body, stooping/bending, lifting weight with assistance up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 40 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 5 pounds of force, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. - Occasional: sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting body. - - III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: - - - Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. - Exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation. - Work environment may be stressful due to patient volume. - - IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - - - - A. EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: - - - Current Hawaii State license as Radiologic Technologist. - Accepted into a certified CT Technologist program approved by the management of Imaging Services at The Queen’s Medical Center. - In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff. - Current BLS certification. - - B. EXPERIENCE: - - - Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility preferred.
