Position located in the Fayetteville Southern Avenue Resident Engineer’s Office (Cumberland County). Employee in this position will provide office support assistance to multiple staff. Duties will include: typing forms, correspondence, computer data entry, filing, create and maintain miscellaneous reports in Excel and assist public with inquires/problems by telephone and personal office contact. Data entry and transfer of weekly payroll utilizing SAP/ BEACON operating systems. Process monthly reports in SAP/ Excel and other general office duties as required. Additional Expectations:Must possess a general knowledge of office procedures and record keeping. Must be able to use a Windows-based computer with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. A basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures is helpful. Candidate should communicate with proper grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, government officials and contractors/vendors. Candidate should possess the skills to maintain and manage multiple projects. Experience with SAP accounting software is preferred. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences. Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC 08 - $39,277 - $68,679 Management prefers applicants with the following:Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues. Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel. Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports. Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws. Experience in record keeping. Minimum Education and Experience. High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and (2) two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
