Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Parks and Recreation Strategist. This position works 10-18 hours per week, primarily remotely, with occasional in-person meetings. The Parks and Recreation Strategist reports to the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director. The primary job duties of this position include: Provides frequent Parks and Recreation data reporting to the department/organization, as needed. Evaluates, recommends, and implements improvements to existing processes and reporting. Effectively communicates conclusions and recommendations based on data analysis findings. Assists in analyzing program effectiveness, conducts market research, and provides insights and supporting information to guide decisions by Coordinators, Supervisors, and Managers Implements and analyzes internal and external evaluations, surveys, and needs assessments for parks and recreation services. In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of data or business analytics experience; Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Knowledge of registration software systems such as Active Net. KNOWLEDGE OF:Data analysis tools like Power BI;Knowledge of data and business functions and processes;Finding correlations and causation in data. Statistics, Standard Deviation, and Predictive Modeling SKILL IN:Analytical skills: works with large amounts of data, facts, figures, and number crunching. See through the data and analyze it to find conclusions. Strategic Outlook: Can use data to think of future impacts and outcomes. Communication Skills: present findings or translate the data into an understandable document. Writes and speaks clearly, easily communicating complex ideas. Critical Thinking: looks at the numbers, trends, and data and comes to new conclusions based on the findings. Attention to Detail: vigilant in analysis to come to correct conclusions.
