Position Description: Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and / or Department Manager, the Monitor Tech. monitors all patients on Telemetry. Projects a good public image. Functions as a member of the health team in the role of department receptionist, insofar as s/he answers telephones and interacts with staff and physicians. Is a self-motivating individual, and maintains a courteous and professional attitude. Qualifications Job Duties/ Responsibilities Requirements:Minimum of one 1 year prior Monitor tech. experience in a health care setting preferred. Thorough computer skills; proper telephone and interpersonal skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology course preferred. Basic dysrhythmia class preferred.
