Monitor, maintain, and assist with administration of servers in a physical/virtual environment. Performs daily system checks, updates, and manages backups. Assist with configuration and maintenance of LAN/ WAN hardware and software. Add and remove devices on the network; assist with DHCP management. Create and manage network shares, permissions, and Active Directory user/group accounts. Coordinate with vendors for installation or support of network infrastructure. Perform routine testing of systems for performance, availability, and resource usage. Provide support for Active Directory, network shares, VPN users, Citrix users, and Wi-Fi access. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of basic network operations and server hardware. Ability to interpret and respond to system and network error messages. Skill in using diagnostic tools. (software and hardware) Ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to lift 50 lbs. for moving server equipment and UPS units. Minimum Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in IT support, server administration, or related technical work. Familiarity with managing physical and virtual servers. Basic understanding of DHCP, DNS, and networked devices. Experience with backup systems (tape or disk-based) Valid State of Florida Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications Experience managing network shares and permissions Experience with Active Directory user and group administration Exposure to server operating systems (Windows Server, ESXi) Technical certifications such as Comp.
