The Sonographer is responsible for providing detailed ultrasound imaging of the female reproductive system to help identify the causes of infertility and to guide fertility treatments. Essential Functions and Accountabilities: Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments. Establishes personal rapport with patients. Provides explanations of procedures. Performs detailed sonographic examinations of female reproductive systems and identifies abnormalities. Responsible for generating and documenting ultrasound reports for physician interpretation. Procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions. Performs and provides explanations of procedures, including Sonohysterograms, Fem. Vue, and Ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers. Tracks fetal growth and development up to 9 weeks gestational age. Maintains ultrasound equipment. Orders ultrasound supplies and keeps rooms stocked Travel to other Company locations as needed. Rotating holiday and weekend shift coverage. Academic Training: Completion of formal Ultrasound training - required ARDMS certification with OB/ GYN specialization - required within 90 days of hire. Current BLS Certification - required within 60 days of hire. Position Requirements/ Experience: Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility - preferred 2- 4 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist - preferred. Technical Skills: Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job. Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
