\n\n. As a Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Utility Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced GSE Maintenance Operations department. The GSE Utility Specialist plays a very important role in providing quality service to our internal customers and performs work in accordance with guidelines established in the collective bargaining agreement.\n\n\n. Identifying and checking tools, test equipment and certain commodities in and out of the warehouse, as well as the servicing, receiving, cleaning, transportation, inventory storage and accounting of tools, test equipment, parts and commodities used in the daily operation\n. Perform routine maintenance tasks of general nature, such as servicing and transporting equipment\n. Light maintenance tasks such as replacing head light/taillights, wiper blades, oil changes, excluding troubleshooting\n. Routine fluid and vehicle operational inspections\n. Limited cart and dolly work, excluding welding and major structural repairs\n. Surface treatment on engines, aircraft, and component parts with chemicals and sandblasting equipment\n. Automotive and light truck tire build up and servicing\n. Perform minor repairs on food service equipment\n. Assist Technicians with work as requested\n. Perform minor repairs on food service equipment\n. GSE Utility Specialists are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)\n. Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/ United Contract\n. New employees are required to join the union\n. GSE Utility Specialists must be able to work around the clock shifts including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditions\n. Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority\n. Other tasks as assigned and outlined in the CBA\n\n\n\n\n. Qualifications\n. What's needed to succeed:\n\n\n. High school diploma/ GED or equivalent\n. Mechanical competence\n. Working knowledge of tools associated with aircraft and automotive repair or ability to work with cleaning solutions and chemicals\n. Strong social skills and the ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment\n. Good verbal, written, communication and computer skills\n. Mobility requirements include lifting, carrying, crawling, and ladder climbing\n. Must be able to work in confined spaces\n. Customer focused\n. Must be at least 18 years of age\n. Must be available to work any shift that is assigned to you within a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation which can include late nights, early hours weekends and holidays\n. Employees may bid for schedules several times a year and schedules are awarded according to seniority\n. Valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record (suspended, expired, revoked or denied are not considered valid)\n\n\n. What will help you propel from the pack:\n\n\n.
