The Data Engineer will provide technical expertise in managing production data quality tasks and will provide end-to-end support for daily data loads for an Azure Cloud-based modern data warehouse environment. You will join the CDAO Production Support Group, where you will be responsible for daily activities focused on maintaining the highest standards of data quality. What will you do:Provide support to business users accessing Power BI dashboards and Data Warehouse tables. Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs. Work with the team on managing Azure resources including but not limited to Databricks, Azure Data Factory pipelines, ADLS etc. Build new ETL/ ELT pipelines using Azure Data Products such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks etc. Contribute to the development of best practices and processes. Monitor & support various data loads for our Enterprise Data Warehouse. Coordinate with upstream/downstream teams to resolve data issues. Collaborate with the QA and Development teams to ensure appropriate automated regression tests are implemented to detect similar issues in the future. Partner with the Development team to enhance automated error handling, aiming to minimize the need for manual interventions. Analyze processes and patterns to proactively identify and resolve other similar, unreported Production data issues collectively. Strong IT professional with 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have:2-3 years of experience in Data warehouse design & development and ETL using Azure Data Factory (ADF)Experience in writing complex TSQL procedures on MPP platforms - Synapse, Snowflake etc. Experience in analyzing complex code to troubleshoot failure and where applicable recommend best practices around error handling, performance tuning etc. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team and experience working with fast-paced operations/development teams. Good understanding of business processes and analyzing underlying data. Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling. Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Nice to have: Experience crafting, building, and deploying applications in a DevOps environment utilizing CI/ CD tools. Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling. Relevant certifications. Basic knowledge of Power BI.
