The Job: As a General Quality Inspector, you’ll be part of our team working in the Willard, Ohio plant. You’ll get to:Perform audits of checks and balances of processes (e.g. facility standards and work instructions):Audit ISO processes and procedures to verify compliance (i.e. ISO internal auditor). Perform standard work sustain audits. Prepare, conduct, and document PFMEA’s. Prepare, document, and participate in new product pilots and new product launches:Create and/or update control plans as needed. Document standard work through the use of appropriate applications:Use the digital camera, data, and reports to document standard work. Create and/or update facility work instructions and Quality forms. Update document changes to the Master document list and submit for control in IQS. Notify affected associates by issuing facility-wide notifications for revisions or updates to controlled documents. Participate in the corrective action process (8 D): Conduct root cause analysis and issue double checklist and quality alerts. Participate in Rapid Improvement Events. Quality reports: generate daily, weekly and monthly:Print, review and deliver specifications sheets. Upload line drawings and green bar reports for assembly, paint and inspection. Keep records as required by the quality system. Maintain quality and production standards following ISO and company procedures and works with ISO coordinator. Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Travel to other SBD facilities for PFMEA events when required. Complete other departmental tasks as assigned by the Manager. In fact, you embrace it. You also have:High School Diploma or GED with a minimum 1-year experience related to Quality, ISO, or Lean Manufacturing. Working technology skills, such as MS Office suite, AS 400, and IQS. Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the facility. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently. Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic (e.g. minimal absences and tardiness. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to walk, stand, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs. for up to eight hours daily. Able to work overtime across all shifts and weekends when required.
