Optimizes the operational efficiency and ensures regulatory compliance of the College of Nursing’s clinical enterprise by performing complex administrative and specialized support functions. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/ Other Credentials Ability to obtain a notary certification in the state of South Carolina. Preferred Qualifications Experience with legal contracts and processes preferred. Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Knowledge of office management, skill in using Microsoft Office; and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with faculty, staff, students, and the general public. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to exercise discretion in interpreting and applying established policies and procedures. Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions. Ability to set priorities and manage details. Self-directed, dependable, punctual, able to critically think and to operate independently, able to set priorities and make independent decisions to solve problems as they arise with minimal supervision. Ability initiate actions for clarification or guidance and serve as a resource on matters of clinical compliance and policies within the college and university guidelines. Job Duties Job Duty Affiliation Agreements: Oversees and manages all aspects of clinical contracts between USC College of Nursing and community partner agencies, including domestic and study abroad programs. In collaboration with the University Legal team, coordinates contract development, review, renewal, and execution. Collaborates with post-licensure students, program directors, and partner agencies to obtain and verify supplemental information as needed. Supports and assists students and program directors with clinical placement requests. Manages aspects of state authorization processes to ensure compliance for offering graduate programs outside of South Carolina, maintaining accurate documentation and alignment with regulatory standards. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 40 Job Duty Adjunct Faculty/ Departmental Graduate Student Hiring and Onboarding: In collaboration with the Clinical Education Department and College leadership, initiates and manages adjunct faculty onboarding from initial outreach through appointment activation. Serves as the primary departmental liaison to the College Human Resources team in support of student and adjunct hires, ensuring timely submission of hiring information for HR processing and compliance with institutional policies. Coordinates and monitors facility-specific onboarding requirements such as the submission of official transcripts, training registration for graduate student employees, purchasing of white coats, etc., and ensures completion of all college-level clinical health and credentialing requirements prior to placement. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Data Management: Maintains and oversees the database for agency contracts and student clinical placements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. Manages and fulfills data requests and generates reports on behalf of the Clinical Education Department. Serves as the primary point of accountability for clinical contract data related to SARA compliance, collaborating with Legal Counsel and the Office of the Provost as needed. Proactively monitors and stays current on NC-SARA regulations and updates to ensure institutional compliance. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Student Clinical Onboarding and Clearances: Collaborates with the Clinical Placement Coordinator and facility administrators to support post-licensure students throughout the facility onboarding process, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance as needed. Manages the verification and documentation of post-licensure student health, compliance, and credentialing requirements. Ensures all onboarding materials meet facility-specific standards and deadlines to facilitate timely clinical placement.
