Ability to create a safe work area following all safety rules & procedures; focuses on safety of self Support and participate in 5 S activities in area Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code Sort and store material in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis Fill requisition, work order, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department Personal desire / value to produce quality work; focus inventory accuracy of your own material movements Mark materials with identifying information Open bales, crates, and other containers Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed Learn process area according to training plan; adaptable to change assignments Accept and adhere to process changes; making improvement ideas to help department Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers Use computer to enter records Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications Contribute to team to meet production goals Work constructively with fellow team members in a diverse environment Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments Prepare parcels for mailing Maintain inventory records Safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites within strict regulation requirements Inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste And all other duties as assigned Essential Functions: Able to lift and move 30 lbs. Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions Able to climb up and down stairs Able to safely operate all heavy equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures Regular and reliable attendance Must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the duration of the task. Education, Training, and Skills Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Intermediate computer skills & Intermediate skill with Microsoft programs
