Event Setup & Preparation - Set banquet and event rooms according to event orders, including linens, place settings, centerpieces, glassware, and signage. - Attend pre-event briefings and review Banquet Event Orders (BE - Os) to understand service flow, menu details, and special requests. - Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely readiness of all food and beverage items. - Inspect all table settings for accuracy, cleanliness, and presentation standards prior to guest arrival. Guest Service & Food & Beverage Service - Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival; assist with seating as directed. - Provide attentive, courteous service throughout each course of plated dinners, buffets, receptions, and hors d’oeuvres service. - Serve food and beverages promptly and in proper sequence; clear courses efficiently without interrupting guest experience. - Respond knowledgeably to menu questions and communicate any dietary restrictions or allergen concerns to the culinary team. - Pour and refill water, wine, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages as appropriate throughout service. - Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the event and proactively address any needs. Post-Event Breakdown & Sanitation - Clear and reset tables following established breakdown procedures after each event. - Transport used dishware, linens, and equipment to appropriate service areas promptly and safely. - Clean and sanitize service stations, storage areas, and event spaces to resort standards. - Inventory and properly store all event equipment, linens, and supplies following each function. Teamwork & Compliance - Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and event coordination staff to ensure seamless service execution. - Adhere to Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations regarding responsible alcohol service. - Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements as outlined by state and local regulations. - Maintain a neat, professional appearance consistent with resort uniform and grooming standards. - Attend required pre-season and ongoing training sessions. Qualifications. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Must be available weekends, weeknights, and holidays. Must either possess Serv. Safe certification or obtain it upon hire. Prior server experience is helpful but not required. - Single Bed, no pets. If interested, inquire during job interview
