Under direct supervision and/or according to detailed instructions, policies and procedures, greets and receives visitors and Medical Center employees and refers same to appropriate staff members or department. Operates a multi-line telephone console and takes and relays messages. Education:High School Diploma. Licensures/ Certifications:Not Applicable. Experience:Not Applicable. Skills: - Ability to type brief memos, letters and forms - Skill in data analysis and interpretation. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Greets visitors and employees to office. Determines nature of business and provides appropriate information, referring to appropriate staff members or department. Also directs deliveries of items to appropriate offices. Answers visitors' and employees' questions, based on knowledge of the organization, department and policy, and notifies supervisor of difficult situations. Performs various related clerical duties including but not limited to: typing brief memos, letters, tables, and forms; filing; opening, distributing and/or collecting mail; photocopying; maintaining logs of items such as deliveries or routine information received in the office; posting transactions and information into computer and performing simple routine calculations – (addition and subtraction) such as totaling items in columns on logs. Provides support to overall office operations, including ensuring supplies, copy machines, fax machines are in proper order, maintained and reports any issues proactively. Operates a multi-line telephone console to relay incoming, outgoing and intra-system calls. Provides approved information to callers and records and transmits messages.
