Creates a positive dining experience for patients and customers by preparing and delivering meals that are timely, appetizing, and tailored to all ages. Plays a key role in patient care by ensuring food is safe, high-quality, and compliant with all state and federal regulations, hospital infection control practices, and department standards to prevent contamination and foodborne illness. REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/ General Education Degree(GED). 2 years of food services experience in a production kitchen. State of Alaska Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire. Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve. Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Excellent communication collaboration skills. Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed. Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality. PREFERRED: College Level Coursework in Culinary Arts. 2 years of food services experience in a healthcare setting. Certified Professional Food Manager (CPFM).
