What You Will Do: As a Nursing Assistant Student PRN, you will collaborate with Registered Nurses to provide essential patient care and ensure a positive healthcare experience for patients and families. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, ambulating, and hygiene. Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and blood glucose levels. Support nurses with procedures including incentive spirometry, dressing changes, pulse oximetry, and nasogastric tube insertion. Aid in patient transport, admission, and discharge processes. Maintain patient safety and cleanliness of the care environment. Communicate patient condition changes to nursing staff promptly and accurately. Perform waste removal and specimen collection in line with safety protocols. Retrieve medications and maintain equipment per hospital policies. Contribute to patient education and discharge planning under RN direction. Support clerical tasks including answering intercoms, greeting visitors, and stocking supplies. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and uphold patient rights.
