1. Plans, communicates, and dispatches work orders, emergency line locates, and pipeline encroachment locates to the appropriate resources in a timely manner. (30%)2. Receives and responds to customer emergency calls. Dispatches orders to assure responsiveness to natural gas and other potential emergency situations, exercising caution and adhering to standardized processes. (30%)3. Maintains a collaborative relationship with other departments across the enterprise to facilitate the appropriate and timely resolution of customer needs. Responds to requests from customer service and field operations employees regarding work orders. (20%)4. Exercises independent decision-making in high pressure situations. Manages stringent deadlines. Processes transactions based on designated level of authority. Recognizes when it is appropriate to refer issues to other departments or to other levels of authority. (15%)5. Assists with construction, service, compliance orders and pipeline safety items as directed by the Customer Service Organization and/or Regulated Utility Operations. Including scheduling or assigned construction/compliance orders. Dispatches enterprise construction crews to emergency situations. (5%)MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Educational/ Experience Level:Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in a customer service, customer call center, dispatch operations or closely related environment. Communication Skills:Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide basic types of factual information. Numeric Skills:Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Computer Skills:Requires computer skills for data entry, reference and/or retrieval tasks. Prefer experience with billing and/or dispatching systems. Soft Skills: Ability to apply soft skills to customer interactions. Work Conditions:Works in an indoor environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. Requires sitting for long periods of time. Other Requirements:This position is subject to shift work and to 24 hours/7 days a week operations. May be required to hold stand-by duty, holidays, weekends, emergency call outs and occasional extended hours.
